Words and music, powerful music, closed out the Smithsonian Institution show "New Harmonies" at the Louisiana State Oil and Gas Museum in Oil City on Sunday.The music was by Lead Belly, the singular and impassioned folk singer who was born Huddie Ledbetter and is buried just a dozen miles from the museum site, and the words were as much by him as anyone else, voiced by his great-nephew Alvin Singh.
