Back in the mid 50’s through the late 60’s, when rock and roll was in its infancy, singers like Jan and Dean, The Beach Boys, and Ronny and the Daytonas sang about how cool it was to own a fast car.Hell, the Beach Boys even sang about just the engine in their song called “409″.
