There have been many a song and album written about Los Angeles. One of the obvious ones is “L.A. Woman” by the Doors, but there’s also Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.”, Frank Black’s “Los Angeles” and X’s entire first debut album, also entitled Los Angeles.
You could also point to not so obvious examples like the Flying Burrito Bros. “Sin City”, which is not about Las Vegas, but about the capital of sun and sleaze.
